LIC Scholarship Golden Jubilee; Life Insurance of India formed a Golden Jubilee Foundation on 20/10/2006. This Golden Jubilee Foundation of LIC is Registered with Charity Commissioner under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. The motto of this Foundation is to promote education, health relief of poverty or distrace and advancement of other objects of general public utility.

Details of Scholarship Scheme :
SCHEME OF ‘LIC GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP’ FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER FAMILIES FOR PURSUING HIGHER STUDIES.
Objective :
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker families so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education and thus enhance their employability.
Scope :
The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private college/university. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes at Graduation level.
Eligibility :
Students who have passed Class XII exam or its equivalent in the Academic Year 2015-16 and are interested to pursue higher education in the field of
- Medical, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses.
- Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges/Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).
For i) above Candidates who have passed Class XII exam or equivalent in the Academic year 2015-16 with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade and annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed ` 1,00,000/- per annum.
For ii) above The basic educational qualification is relaxed to Class X or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the Academic year 2015-16 subject to income ceiling of parents/guardians.
Duration :
Scholarship shall be provided for the entire duration of the course subject to the candidate fulfilling the requisite eligibility conditions for renewal.
Rate of Scholarship :
An amount of `10,000/- per annum will be awarded to the selected candidate which is payable in ten monthly installments of ` 1,000/- each. The Scholarship amount will be transferred to Bank Account of the selected scholar through NEFT. Therefore in case the candidate is selected for scholarship, the Bank Account details and IFSC code are compulsory.
Conditions for Scholarship
- Scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed `1,00,000/- per annum.
- Selection of LIC Scholar will be on the basis of merit and family background such as percentage of marks in class 12th /10th and annual income of the family. Eligible Students having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.
- The candidate should secure more than 55%marks in professional streams and 50% marks in graduation courses in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent grade in the previous final examination of the course for which scholarship is awarded, failing which the scholarship will be discontinued.
- Scholarship shall not be given to more than one student in a family.
- The students should be regular in attendance for which the yardstick shall be decided by the competent authority of the school/college/university.
- Income certificate should be on self-certification basis by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper for self-employed parents and from employer for employed parents supported by documents (from revenue department) such as land held in the name of parents.
- If a student violates any terms and conditions of the scholarship, the scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.
- If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship shall be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned Divisional Administration of LIC.
- LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation will lay down the detailed procedure for processing and sanctioning of scholarships to eligible students.
- The scheme shall be evaluated at regular intervals by the LICGJF.
- The regulations can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Board of Trustees of LICGJF.

Enter your personal details Name, Father’s Name, Gender Date of Birth, Nationality, Address, Mobile No, Email, Caste/Category, Educational Stream, Course Duration, Annual Income of Parent, 10th Course Details, 11th Course Details, 12th Course Details, Other Family Member Receiving Scholarship or Not, Candidate Receiving Any Scholarship or Not, Bank Account Details with IFSC/MICR, Deceleration Acceptance, Finally Click Submit.
Once online application is submitted, An acknowledgement will be generated which is provided below.

WBSED NMMSE 2016 :
National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination, 2016 (for the Student studying in Class VIII) will be held on 13th November 2016 at different centres of West Bengal, Directorate of School Education, West Bengal will conducted the said examination.
WBSED NTSE 2017 :
State Level National Talent Search Examination 2017, for students of class X or for those who will appear the 10th Level Examination, 2017 through ODL mode will be held on 13th November 2016 in the different centres in the State of West Bengal. Directorate of school Education , West Bengal, 7th Floor, Salt Lake City, Kolkata- 700091 will conducted the said examination.
Eligibility Criteria :
For NMMSE Scholarship Examination 2016 – Students of Class VIII who secured 55% above marks in the final examination of class VII are eligible to appear in the central sponsored NMMSE Examination, 2016 for Class 8th. 5% of Relaxation to SC, ST, PH candidates.
Applicant parental income should be below Rs.150000/ per annum form all sources. Income certificate to be uploaded.

For NTSE Scholarship Examination 2017 – Students of class X of any afflicted and recognized Schools or WBBSE / WBBME / ICSE / CBSE in West Bengal securing 50% and above marks (40% and above marks for SC / SAT / PH) in the final examination of class IX are eligible to appear at State Level NTSE 2017.
How to Apply :
For Application in National Means cum Merit Scholarship 2016 & National Talent Search Examination 2017 applicant required to visit on official portal- scholarships.wbsed.gov.in
Click on New User Register here link and filled up the personal details along with one mobile number and register. A Registration number will be generated which should be noted down along with the password given for future login to the system.
Log in your account using Registration number and Password.
Edit the form and fill in other details and upload scanned copy of your passport size photograph. The image file for photograph should be in jpeg / jpg format and maximum size limit in 20 KB. Save the form. The Form may be edited till it is locked by you.
Once the form is complete and correct with all particulars , the same should be locked. A print out of the Filled in application along with the format for certificate from the Head of the School / Institution (HOI) should be taken out.
Applicant has to take out the printed application form and certificate format along with copies of other necessary documents below to the Head of School / Institution where he / she is studying and get the certificate signed with official seal and upload the signed certificate to his / her account along with scanned copies of – caste certificate issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable)& Disability Certificate and above disability must be certified by the competent medical Board of there State Govt / Central l Govt, if applicable duly signed
